On this Bumper to Bumper radio show, Dave Riccio of Tri-City Transmission talks about when fluids should be changed. Also on this show:

• Do-It-Yourself automotive projects: Wiper blades, air filters, spark plugs, rotate your tires, cabin filters, lights bulbs. Brakes are still not out of reach for most people. Doing your own oil change doesn't make economic sense these days.
• 2006 Chevy Impala, 21,000 miles: When should I get transmission checked since car has been sitting a while.
• 2004 Dodge Dakota with 100,000 miles. What should I get checked?
• Penzoil 10-30 is rated for 7500 miles. Does it really last that long?
• Recalls: Honda 2002-2006 CRV recall for master window switch. Honda Accords with power stearing leaks. Mid-size GM's from 2007-2010 with bad shifter cables.
• 2006 Honda CRV with 110,000 miles. Air conditioning has quit. Can I drive without it working?
• 2004 Ford Taurus with 115 miles. Breaks went out and brake light still comes on. While driving, all the lights shut off.
• 1996 Ford Explorer with 150,000 miles. Horn and cruise control went out at the same time. Replace fuse and it blew again. Could possibly be clock spring under the steering wheel.
• Will using my parking break make my breaks last longer? Parking breaks keep everything adjusted.
• 2006 Saturn Ion. Replaced engine and mass airflow center. Has problem when hooking up wire for radio amplifier.
• 2002 Ram Pickup. Weird bounce when going down the road.
• 2000 Accura with 120,000 miles. Should I flush the transmission fluid or will that make it worse.
