On this show, Dave Riccio of Tri-City Transmission in Tempe, AZ talks about buying extended warranties on cars. Is it worth the money you spend buying an extended warranty for your car? • Make sure you have an exclusion warranty, where they spell out what is covered and what is not.
• 1999 Toyota Corolla. Check engine light is on.
• 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe with 106,000 miles. Air conditioning and heater works on passenger side, but not on driver's side.
• 1993 Pontiac Bonneville with 125,000 miles. Recently at stoplight, pushed the gas an wheels spun like they were on ice.
• 1998 Ford Contour with 115,000 miles. Car has four different tires on the car. Vibrates after getting to 60 mile per hour.
• 2003 Grand Cherokee. Check engine light is on with a P1763 code. Governor pressure sensor voltage too high.
• 2008 Ford F150. Bank will sell an extended warranty for $2026. Is it worth it?
• 2006 Nissan Murano with 127,000 miles. I have replaced oil seal several times, but it still leaks.
• 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. Car stalls as I am driving.
