Benefits of Developing a Relationship With Your Auto Repair Shop

• Human error factors with auto repair shops. Cars aren't always fixed right the first time. There is pressure on shops to fix cars quickly.
• Air conditioning repairs and oil leaks are typically not fixed in one visit.
• Check engine light evaporative emission codes. Gas cap may be loose.
• Shops will bend over backwards if you treat them nicely.
• Running out of gas is not good for your car. Accuracy of gas gauge.
• 2004 Ford Taurus: AX4 transmission leak.
• 2000 Honda Civic with 100,000 miles: Replaced engine three times in a year and it keeps going bad. Should have a 2-5 year warranty. If you don't identify
the problem, it will keep failing.
• The big question is always what broke and what caused that thing to break?
• 1999 Dodge Caravan with 29,000 miles: When starting, the mileage and gear lights turn on and then they flicker when driving. Probably a bad ground at the
battery. Possibly the ignition switch.
• Should I be afraid to jump start someone else's car? Yes. There a very good chance you could experiencing an electrical spike or you could hook up the
cables backwards and damage your car.
• 2001 Chevrolet Blazer: Put in a radiator and the transmission lines are leaking.
• 1995 325i BMW: Had a collision and needed some repairs and bodywork done. Should I do the mechanical or bodywork first?
• Having a friend or someone who works out of his garage fix your car is not a good idea.
