I’ve used Tri-City Transmission over the years for my transmission needs, and they have consistently proven to be both highly knowledgeable and exceptionally fair in their pricing. Their understanding of the nuances of different transmissions is second to none.

I own a 4x4 that I’ve had for 19 years with plenty of miles on it. In recent years, I’ve started towing a camping trailer, which naturally puts added stress on the transmission. Even though I hadn’t experienced any issues, I decided it was probably time to have the transmission serviced.

When I brought my vehicle to Tri-City Transmission, they did what they always do — they looked out for my best interest. Rather than simply performing the service, they suggested running a diagnostic first to confirm whether it was actually necessary. After a thorough road test on both surface streets and the freeway, and analysis of my transmission fluid, they called to let me know that the transmission was performing well and did not need servicing at this time.

My transmission went at 402,000 miles and with the price of cars I needed it repaired. I had Tri-City rebuild mine and now it is ready to go another 402,000 miles. I am at 443,000 now and it is running like a top.

I spent a ton of hours looking for the right place to take my jeep to have the trans looked at. I was a VW master tech in my previous life and I am more than willing to perform my own repairs and take my trans apart my self, but I don’t have the time anymore. Dave was super knowledgeable and friendly, as well and all the other employees I met. They notice an issue with my fan clutch that I didn’t even notice that could be causing my issues. I was ready to spend the money and throw a new trans in and he took the time to help me diag it a little further. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles here in the future for repairs.

The team that work on my jeep did a really great job! Since the first day I dropped my car off, they took the time to drive with me to understand what the issue was. They kept me updated on what was going on. And it was a huge relief knowing that I didn’t have to replace my transmission after being told from another shop that that’s why I had to do. When I went to pick it up, Dave helped me understand what happened and broke down all the steps they took to make a proper diagnosis. It’s been a couple months since I’ve had it fixed and it’s still running like new! Thanks Dave and team for the amazing work!

Took my 2004 Chevy Tahoe in for the dreaded 165000 transmission rebuild. They took very good care of me giving me their upgraded transmission rebuild with a great warranty as well. They knew the truck was super clean from inspecting it from underneath, so offered a great deal for their top of the line better than new rebuild, with warranty. Its almost been a year now and the truck drives better than my new Chevy! Thanks Dave and all the employees for taking care of me and my 1 owner Tahoe.

I've been using Tri-City Transmissions almost my entire married life, dating back to their old location. I highly recommend them to my family, friends and neighbors. I recently had a vehicle in for service, and after they explained what they had done, I was amazed the cost for the repair was so low. I'm glad they have expanded to all automotive needs, not just transmissions. I trust them to be fair and honest with me. Thanks to all the crew down there!
These guys were amazing. They are the perfect example of why you should support small local businesses.

I have a 2020 Chevy Colorado with 75k miles on it and I started to develop the dreaded Chevy transmission shudder. I called them Monday morning and dropped the truck off Monday afternoon after me and a mechanic went for a quick test drive so they could experience the problem firsthand with me. Dave talked to me and then gave me a quick tour of the shop and it was very well organized and clean. Fast foreword to Wednesday afternoon and they called with an update when they promised they would. After further diagnosing they determined all I needed was a transmission fluid flush and filter change and I would have the truck back by Friday. They underpromised and over delivered and called Thursday saying it was done and ready for pick up. Dave again went out of his way to explain what they did and when the next service interval would be. The truck runs perfect again.

One last thing to note they were half as expensive as what the dealer quoted me for the same work. This shop will now be my go to for both mine and my wife’s vehicle maintenance needs. I can’t recommend them enough for all your vehicle needs.

These guys are the REAL DEAL!!! Super-friendly, up-front, knowledgeable, and thorough. Took my 2013 Ford Transit Connect (infamous for powertrain issues) in for a 2nd opinion on an intermittent vague issue of power loss. Chris scheduled me in and provided great information on their process. Dave did the first drive with me. My car was there for a week, and the Level 1 diagnostic was inconclusive (which I anticipated would be the case), but I have complete confidence in their work, and the affordable service provided. I can’t say enough about how honest and transparent my repair went with Tri City. The owner Dave walked me through every step of the process which was not at all typical. Dave and his team worked to diagnose my transmission issue on my Silverado and offered up options to try every possible solution to keep costs down. Unfortunately my parts and potential new transmission were VERY hard to source, but the team at Tri City was very up front and honest about the status and issues with sourcing parts. The truck was with them for an unplanned amount of time and they were able to get me a loaner vehicle to drive which was unexpected and above and beyond what I feel they would be obliged to offer. I ask lots of questions and am very leery of repair shops, but Tri City went a long way towards shifting my opinion. I can’t say enough good things and would be proud to recommend them to everyone I know. Last piece- Dave took me back behind the scenes in the shop- I have NEVER seen such a meticulously organized and clean repair shop- this shows just how much pride they take in their work and employees! - Cameron Mark

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with any service company. I was actually recommended to them by another shop that felt Tri-city could offer more cost effective options. The team was incredibly clear, detailed, calm, and confident in their recommendations, and they followed through to deliver excellent results. Every employee treated me with the utmost professionalism, but meeting the owner made it easy to see why the business operates so smoothly. It’s clear that genuine care for people is at the forefront of what he does.

I was given a tour of the shop, I was impressed—it’s the cleanest shop I’ve ever been in! I also got to see some of the inner workings of a transmission. This company sets a high standard for quality and customer care. Highly recommended!

I had my transmission in my Ford F-150 serviced at another repair location locally and the next day my truck started smoking and leaking fluid everywhere. I took it back to the shop that performed the work and they told me to take it to a transmission repair shop. The transmission shop I took it to, recommended by my original repair shop, quoted me a repair over $7000.00 and said I needed a brand new transmission. My gut told me this was not the case, so I decided to take my truck to Tri-City Transmission where I have had work done on my fleet vehicles for years and never been anything but satisfied with their work. Tri-City diagnosed the vehicle and told me the only problem was the transmission fluid had been overfilled by the first shop by over 2 quarts, leading to the current problems. Tri-City Transmission drained the fluid, filled the fluid to the appropriate level and cleaned the mess made from leaking fluid. I was so relieved not have to have spent the $7000.00, only spent a few hundred instead on an honest job done by a company that was great. I should have just gone there in the first place, instead of choosing what I believed would be convenient. I will be using Tri-City unquestionably in the future. Thanks so much for a great, honest job.

To say my experience at Tri-City Transmission was excellent would be and understatement. Dave Riccio and his staff go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, communication and top notch service. I began having issues with my transmission and was told by my regular mechanic that he was not able to diagnose a problem besides telling me that I have 3 codes for fluid pressure sensors, and could only completely replace my transmission but that it may be something that could be repaired somewhere more knowledgeable about transmissions. I first tried a local transmission shop close to home who quoted me $5800 over the phone after a VERY brief conversation. I dropped it off and was called the next day saying I had low engine power and that I would need to get that checked out before they could do any work. Well that turn out to be a blessing in disguise. I went back to my mechanic who replaced the mass airflow sensor and cleaned the throttle body. Although it was driving much better it was still shifting funny. My mechanic referred me to Tri City although he had no personal experience but had heard good things. My very first phone call was night and day from the first shop, they spent time asking detailed questions about my concerns, how it was driving and maintenance history. They scheduled an appointment and sent me a short video describing the way the do business. I was very pleased upon arriving at my appointment that a mechanic took me for a short drive to see the issues I was having and talk about my concerns. They then gave me a day and time that they would call me back, and sure enough they called me exactly when they said the they would. Dave was so wonderful to work with, he personally called me all throughout updating me, and was so kind and patient with all my questions and very thorough in explaining how they would go about diagnosing my transmission. Thankfully I was able to leave my truck with them for 2 weeks, because they were able to have one of their mechanics drive it home and back a few times and was able to determine what was going on. A few repairs and only $1,500 later, Dave and his team had my truck back to me several days sooner than they had initially said, saving me thousands. I am so grateful for the honesty, integrity and service at Tri- City Transmission, I never felt like I was just another customer, but like I was a friend.
